The 2023 TSOA Nationals will be held in Warrnambool starting on Saturday 21st October until Saturday 28th October at the Lady Bay Resort.
Warrnambool is located on the southwest coast of Victoria and has ready access to the Shipwreck Coast – which is part of the Great Ocean Road, lush farming land on volcanic soils and fishing towns.
The cost of the Rally is split into two elements with an average total cost of around $1500:
- Events and meals – planned at $865 per person.
- Accommodation – varies according to room type $475 – $747 per person.
Accommodation will be at the Lady Bay Resort in Warrnambool which has an array of room types from standard Hotel Suites to 3-bedroom apartments. Rally participants will need to make their own reservation directly with the Lady Bay Resort only after advice from the Rally Committee.
Registrations will be time-stamped in order of receipt. Room preferences will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. We are planning on 100 participants and if over-subscribed, a standby list will be created.
- Registration forms will be available from the 14th of December
- Complete the form.
- Your registration will be recorded in order of receipt.
- Room type preferences will be allocated strictly in order of registration receipt.
Couples who do not wish to share
- You can select from the 1 Bedroom room types as shown in the Registration Form.
- When room types are fully taken they will disappear from the list.
- We expect to have 45 x 1 Bedroom room types available.
Couples who wish to share
- You can select from the 2 or 3-bedroom room types as shown in the Registration Form.
- Note that you will select your room type in order from most preferred to least preferred.
- You will nominate your sharing partners so we can link you together.
- Your selection is provisional only and we will contact you to finalise your room type & share partners’ arrangements. You will not lose your place on the Registration list.
Singles
- You can select from the 2 Bedroom, 3 Bedroom room or 1-bedroom room types as shown on the Registration Form.
- Note that you will select your room type in order from most preferred to least preferred.
- You can nominate your sharing partner(s), if known, so we can link you together.
- Your selection is provisional only and we will contact you to finalise your room type & share partner arrangements. You will not lose your place in the Registration list.
- The first round of Registration entries will be open until early February 2023.
- We will then validate the Registrations and finalise arrangements with Singles & Sharing Couples.
- Around mid-February, we will provide you with instructions on how to make your booking with Lady Bay Resort
- Lady Bay Resort has requested this timing, as it is a quiet time after their busy holiday season.
- You will still be able to register any time from early February and, if not oversubscribed, we will advise you to make your room booking.
- If Registrations are oversubscribed you will be placed on the standby list.
- As places become available due to cancellations, a room will be offered to the next person(s) on the standby list.
Accommodation reservation details
- The Lady Bay Resort:
- Will require a credit card number.
- Will deduct a deposit of one day’s accommodation.
- Will take the remainder on arrival.
- Accommodation can be cancelled up to 48 hours prior to arrival and the deposit will be returned.
- If cancellation is made within the 48-hour period the deposit will not be returned.
- For shared apartments, one person will be responsible for the booking and payment.
Rally event/meal payments will be made in two instalments as advised later. We hope to make all meal/event booking commitments cancellable without penalty, but it is likely we will have to pay some holding deposits. Given the current rising costs and inflation, small businesses are reluctant to commit to firm prices 12 months out. We hope you understand and are not put off by the proposed costs.
