Presidents Update

Presidents Report January 2021

Happy New Year and Safe Motoring.

I had hoped to say that the club would be getting back to normal in 2021 but what we have seen and heard over the last few days mean that will not be a choice we the committee can make so its more of the same as this insidious virus controls our movements and gatherings.

When the window of opportunity allows we will be organising as many activity’s as permitted and we will be starting with the NY BBQ breakfast on the 10th January, as this is an outside event, the restrictions [at the moment] are in our favour, but it is essential that you book your intention to attend via the website link as always we will need to know who is in attendance and have a record for contact tracing if the unthinkable should happen, after all its common courtesy to let the organiser know for catering purposes, the days of just turning up are a thing of the past. All details are on the website.

You will also see the link on the website for the Drive Your Triumph Day [ Sir John Black Day] 10th February 2021 this is being organised by TCCV and again you will need to book here even if you are just going for the drive, we will still need to have a list of attendees and a contact tracing list.

I will be contacting the Manningham in the near future to ascertain how we can resume General Meetings there, which will all be subject to restrictions imposed by the Government at the time, so keep checking the website for updated information.

Just a reminder that there are still places available for the 60th Anniversary Dinner on the 24th April.

As we didn’t have many meetings in 2020 when we resume General Meetings, hopefully in February, there wont be a  “Presentation Night” but we will plan a special meeting to help us celebrate surviving 2020, but off course this will all be subject to restrictions current at the time.

Traditionally the start of the year is a very busy time and this year is no different so keep up to date as to what is happening by checking the website.

Yours Triumphantly
